An article published on The Conversation, and which can be read in full on the News Blog page of the Future Media website, argues that of the 15 flagship projects identified in the African Union’s Agenda 2063, the Africa outer space programme is the most important. This, the author argues, is because the programme, which seeks to enable Africa to obtain maximum benefits from space science, technology and applications, has direct or indirect impacts on all the other flagship programmes. It is therefore of concern, he states, that it does not seem to be getting the attention it requires.
