Vice President Nangolo Mbumba says he hopes a group of potential investors from the United States of America who yesterday wrapped up their visit to Namibia to explore investment opportunities, can bring about much needed development and economic growth. For her part, the United States’ lead diplomat for US economic policy in Africa, and the head of the delegation, Ms. Akunna Cook, said “there is tremendous potential in Namibia’s people and in its economy, especially in renewable energies”. As part of their activities while in the country, Cook introduced Namibian entrepreneurs to investment opportunities and resources to scale up businesses and exports and hosted a virtual Twitter Space event connecting entrepreneurs in Namibia and across Africa to major American entrepreneurship investors, including Google.
