President Hage Geingob has extended his condolences to the Nchindo family for the loss of four family members when they were shot by the Botswana Defence Force, and the mother of three of the deceased who died of a heart attack. Nampa reports that in his message on Tuesday at Impalila Island, Geingob said he was paying his last respects with profound sadness and deep sorrow. In a display of solidarity following the brutal shooting, hundreds of Namibians took part in demonstrations on 13 November 2020 in Windhoek, Katima Mulilo, and on Impalila Island and handed over petitions to the Botswana High Commission in Windhoek, Geingob recapped. Geingob further stated that the lives of all Namibians matter and the innocent killings of Namibian people shall not be tolerated.
