US President Joe Biden is in Tokyo for the second leg of his Asia tour whose aim has been to boost America’s influence in the region, as well as challenge China. Biden has also enlisted a dozen Asia-Pacific nations to join a new loosely defined economic bloc in a bid to counter Chinese dominance in the region. Meanwhile, he is weighing cutting tariffs on Chinese goods as he grapples with high inflation at home.
