Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of International Relations and Cooperation, Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah on Monday received a donation of US$ 100 000 (about N$ 1.4 million) from the Brazilian government aimed towards food security in Namibia. This, the Namibia press agency reports, is the second donation made by the Brazilian government aimed at alleviating hunger, as in 2020, the same government donated 29 metric tons of ready-to-use supplementary food, which was earmarked to treat over 30 000 children and pregnant women with moderate malnutrition throughout the country.
