The SA First Forum has welcomed the unanimous finding by the Judicial Conduct Tribunal that Western Cape Judge-president John Hlophe was guilty of gross misconduct. This, Newsflash reports follows a complaint years ago that he tried to improperly influence two Constitutional Court Judges to find in favour of former president Jacob Zuma in the controversial arms deal case. The tribunal recommended that Hlophe should face impeachment but failing that he could still face sanctions including an order for an apology, a reprimand, counselling, or training.
