The South African Subtropical Growers Association in Limpopo is calling for borders to be reopened in order to allow for increased trading activities and more investment. Newsflash reports that the call comes after the release of the GDP statistics showing the country’s economic growth dropped by 51-percent in the second quarter of 2020 due to the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic, something Subtrop’s provincial manager Steven Mantsho says can be reversed, at least partially, by reopening the borders.
