President Hage Geingob’s Head of Security, Johan Ndjaronguru, has opened a case of high treason against the Landless People’s Movement leader Bernadus Swartbooi and his lieutenant, Henny Seibeb, while the two have in turn also opened individual cases against Ndjaronguru. This, the Namibia press agency reports follows chaos that erupted on Thursday in the National Assembly, where Geingob had just delivered his State Of the Nation Address. The commotion led to parliament being abruptly adjourned with Swartbooi escorted out of the chambers by about six security personnel, while Seibeb was physically dragged out by both parliamentary and presidential security, including Ndjaronguru.
