The Ministry of Education, Arts and Culture constructed 22 classrooms and 20 ablution facilities at schools in the Zambezi Region during the 2020/21 financial year, the governor of the region, Lawrence Sampofu has said. The governor added that with technical assistance from the World Food Programme, just over N$ 550 000 was budgeted for the provision of a school feeding programme as a social protection safety net aimed at ending hunger and improving nutrition, with a total of 26 094 learners in primary and combined schools benefiting from this programme.
