Erongo Region Governor, Neville Itope has said that the fight against corruption and broadly effective governance underpin the achievement of all developmental goals. Speaking at the regional consultative meeting of the National Anti-Corruption Strategy and Action Plan 2021-2025 at Swakopmund on Thursday, Itope said it is critical to note that failing to promote and uphold ethical principles as well as maintain systems of integrity at all levels put the fulfillment of the entire national and sustainable development agenda at risk. Nampa quotes Itope as saying, “Our government fully acknowledges that corruption has been recognised as one of the world’s biggest development challenges that continue to pose severe threats to economic progress.”
