The City of Windhoek has received a non-repayable grant of N$ 10.96 million from the German KfW Bank that will be used to expand the Gammams Waste Water Treatment Plant in Katutura. City spokesperson, Lydia Amutenya said that Council approved the deal during its ordinary meeting held this week as the plant has now exceeded its capacity and there is a need for expansion or upgrade to accommodate current demand and future development within its catchment area.
