Public interviews for 15 candidates who have been shortlisted for three positions of electoral commissioners including the next chairperson of the Electoral Commission of Namibia, are set for Monday 10 May. National Assembly spokesperson David Nahogandja warned though that parliament reserves the right to limit numbers due to the venue being used for the purposes of the interviews and in line with regulations to adhere to social distancing. Adding that the interviews will also be livestreamed on parliament social media platforms and due to COVID-19 restrictions on public gatherings, the public is advised to follow proceedings online.
