A Colombian researcher has been trampled to death by an elephant in the Kibale National Park in Western Uganda. The Uganda Wildlife Authority says Sebastian Ramirez Amaya and his research assistant were in the forest carrying out fieldwork when they were attacked. Uganda’s Wildlife Authority says the elephant attack at Kibale was the first deadly incident at the park in 50 years.
