Employees of Air Namibia are not only opposing company liquidation to save their jobs, but rather to save the national pride which Air Namibia has carried around the world for the past 30 years. Namibian Cabin Crew Union president Reginald Kock said the employees are open to talks of retrenchment and reduction of the workforce and any other proposal that would make running the airline sustainable without dissolving it. He said the union is set to meet with management to see if they can work together in pushing for the government to save the airline, saying there are members that have indicated they would voluntarily leave to save the airline.
