Eskom has sold two buildings to the Department of Human Settlements, Water, and Sanitation,Newsflash reports, in an attempt to help relieve some of the accommodation pressures faced by university students and for social housing. The power utility’s spokesperson Sikonathi Mantshantsha says the sale of these two high-rise office buildings in Kimberley and Johannesburg has raised 76.1-million rand for Eskom. Mantshantsha says the department will convert the building in Kimberley into social housing units and the Johannesburg one into student accommodation.
