The European Union provided grant assistance of N$ 179 million to Namibia at the outset of the COVID-19 pandemic to assist the country in obtaining emergency health equipment and food assistance for affected vulnerable people. Nampa reports that European Union Ambassador Sinikka Antila in a media statement on Tuesday said the EU and its member states in Namibia are collaborating closely with the Namibian Government and United Nations agencies to support Namibia in its response to the pandemic.
