Former diplomat Berhane Kidanemariam, who resigned last week as the deputy chief of mission at the Ethiopian embassy in Washington, says “war and conflict” is everywhere in the Horn of Africa nation that no media was covering. He told the BBC Newsday programme, without evidence, that there were ongoing conflicts in Oromia and Benishangul Metekel regions that were under-reported. The former diplomat urged the US to speak out more on the Tigray conflict “because people are dying now”.
