A former South African Airways board member who received a 100-million-rand kickback from an American company, will respond to the allegations against her when testifying at the state capture commission today. Newsflash reports that Yakhe Kwinana received the payment from AAR in exchange for a contract to provide aircraft components to SAA. She was also the chairperson of SAA Technical and implicated in February by Sibongile Sambo of SRS Aviation. Kwinana is expected to testify about the alleged corruption at SAA during Dudu Myeni’s tenure as chairperson. Myeni is also expected to testify this week.
