Former Swapo Party Nkurenkuru constituency councillor Damian Nakambare, who was arrested for attempted murder last Sunday, made his first court appearance on Tuesday. The National Council is alleged to have shot and injured 42-year-old Samusiova Gabriel Hausiku, following a misunderstanding over car keys. Nakambare was also charged with contravening the Arms and Ammunition Act and negligent handling of a firearm. The case was postponed to 08 November and he is remanded in police custody.
