The Ministry of Mines and Energy has announced that due to the exchange rate between the Namibian and US Dollars not having been favourable during the month of January and the international prices of petrol and diesel both having increased significantly, mostly due to supply cuts by OPEC’s biggest producer the price of petrol and diesel in Namibia will both increase by 50c/litre on Wednesday 3 February 2021. Included in this price increase, the Ministry said, was an increase in the dealer margin on all products for service station operators of 3c/litre.
