The Ministry of Mines and Energy has fuel price increases for November of 50c/l for petrol and 70c/l for diesel. This, the Ministry says, was necessitated by international oil prices having hit their highest point since 2018 as global oil demand is now perfectly poised to recover from the Covid-19 pandemic. The Namibia Dollar also depreciated against the US Dollar in October resulting in under-recoveries of 132 cents on petrol and 154 cents on diesel and the Central Energy Fund absorbing approximately N$ 120 million on behalf of consumers.
