The World Economic Forum released its Global Gender Gap Report 2021, which looks at 153 countries and their progress towards gender parity based on the four key areas of; economic participation and opportunity, educational attainment, health and survival, and political empowerment. While the report claims that it will take 121.7 years to close the gender gap, Namibia had already managed to close its Health and Survival gap by 98% and its Educational Attainment gender gap fully, with twice as many women as men enrolled in tertiary education. Rosa Namises, the director of women’s solidarity Namibia, isn’t sure that she really agrees with the report though.
