While acknowledging that many of Namibians rely on the national broadcaster for information, Prime Minister Saara Kuugongelwa-Amadhila conceded that Government cannot meet its employees’ wage demands. The Prime Minister told the Namibia press agency that the government’s commitment to bring an end to the strike is not in question but said it is up to parties involved in addressing the industrial impasse to find amicable solutions while being cognisant of the country’s precarious financial position.
