With Namibia’s Covid-19 cases on the rise and a new record number of five hundred and eighty-five (585) newly confirmed cases announced on Monday by the health ministry, there are concerns the country does not have enough intensive care beds for Covid-19 patients. The Executive Director of the Ministry of Health and Social Services, Ben Nangombe however, says that the ministry does have intensive care units across the country and has added isolation units that are fitted with oxygen supply, to be used for intensive care units for Windhoek, Walvis Bay, and Oshakati to address the shortage.
