With the announcement by the Ministry of Mines and Energy that the price of diesel will be increased by N$ 1. 98 cents per litre effective Wednesday, 2 November 2022, Piet Gouws, the President of the Namibian Agricultural Union, says that without question higher diesel prices will increase production costs for the sector.
