While Namibians like to complain that the number of units they receive in electricity compared to how much they pay for it keeps decreasing and that electricity in the country is expensive, Business Insider reports that electricity in Namibia costs N$ 1.935/kWh compared to the equivalent of N$ 2.558 in South Africa and N$ 2.164in Mozambique. It however only costs the equivalent of N$ 1.592 in Botswana, N$ 1.749 in Eswatini and a low N$ 0.592 in Zimbabwe. Electricity in much of Europe is far more expensive though, with England charging the equivalent of N$ 4.303, Belgium N$ 4.598, and Germany a massive N$ 5.497.
