Today is the International Day of the Girl Child which supports more opportunities for girls and increases awareness of gender inequality faced by girls worldwide based upon their gender. The Gender Equality ministry’s spokesperson, Lukas Haufiku says the government has developed a policy that speaks to the girl child’s well being.
