Microsoft has revealed that Janet Jackson’s song Rhythm Nation had the power to crash laptops – even if it wasn’t playing on them. The good news here is that laptops today won’t suffer from the same issue – Microsoft says the manufacturer added “a custom filter in the audio pipeline that detected and removed offending frequencies during audio playback”.
