Japan is set to declare a state of emergency in three more districts hard hit by Covid-19. Reuters reports that Hokkaido, Okayama, and Hiroshima will on Sunday join Tokyo, Osaka, and four other districts in a state of emergency until the end of this month. Japan has recorded 667-thousand Covid-19 cases and 11-thousand-249-related deaths. This comes as the Toyko Olympics are set to begin in just ten weeks. An online petition calling for the cancellation of the Olympics has garnered over 350-thousand signatures.
