King Charles III is expected to address the nation for the first time as sovereign at 18:00 BST (7:00 pm Windhoek time), following the death of Queen Elizabeth II. The BBC reports that he greeted crowds outside Buckingham Palace on his return to London with Camilla, the new Queen Consort. Britain’s longest-reigning monarch died peacefully, surrounded by her family, at Balmoral in Scotland on Thursday.
