Governor of the Kunene Region, Marius Sheya, has called for collective commitment while encouraging all partners to facilitate their emergency lending mechanisms and accelerate technical support amidst the devastating drought experienced in Kunene. Nampa reports that Sheya in a statement on Monday said that only through such technical support will the region ensure that no human life is lost to drought; the disturbance period is minimised; goods are dispatched to the most vulnerable and mobilisation of resources assist the affected communities, while accountability happens through feedback to the nation.
