Minister of Public Enterprises, Leon Jooste, has written to three board members of the Meat Corporation of Namibia to request an explanation after they ‘drastically’ resigned from the corporation. This, the Namibia press agency reports, after board chairperson Johnnie Hamman; vice-chairperson Clara Bohitile and director Kay-Ditter Rumpf said they resigned due to material unreconciled differences with the management and the rest of the board of directors. The three were appointed alongside six other directors on 01 May 2020 for a three-year term.
