South Africa’s Public Protector Busisiwe Mkhwebane has confirmed that her office is investigating a complaint related to the 2020 burglary incident at President Cyril Ramaphosa’s Phala Phala farm. News24 reports that a complaint lodged in terms of the Executive Members Ethics Act was lodged with the PP’s office by African Transformation Movement leader Vuyo Zungula. Mkhwebane’s office said in a statement that the investigation was underway and that “allegations letters” had been written to various sources including Ramaphosa.
