International ratings agency, Moody’s, has changed Eskom’s outlook to positive, the first time Moody’s has done this in 15 years. eNCA reports that it comes after Finance Minister Enoch Godongwana announced last week that SA’s government would take a portion of Eskom’s debt onto its balance sheet. The rating agency says it’s waiting for more details on the selection of relevant debt instruments and the method of effecting the transfer of a portion of the debt which will be announced in the 2023 Budget.
