President Hage Geingob has conferred State funerals on both former Minister Willem Konjore and ‘the man who named Namibia’ Mburumba Kerina. The Namibia press agency quotes presidential Press Secretary Dr. Alfredo Hengari as saying that the remains of Konjore are to be interred at #Gabis in the Karasburg East Constituency on 26 June 2021, as agreed with his family, while the remains of Kerina will be interred on a date and place to be agreed to by his family. Meanwhile it was reported this morning that Ovaherero paramount chief Vekuii Rukoro died this morning at the age of 66. This just days after the traditional authority announced that he had tested positive for Covid-19.
