The Mozambican government says it needs more than $114m for the socio-economic reconstruction of the district town of Palma, in northern Cabo Delgado province, recently vandalised by Islamist terrorists. BBC reports that the Minister of State Administration and Public Service Ana Comoana described the situation in Palma as “extremely difficult, shocking and violent”. She said the government has to prepare to rebuild the town but she did not say how the funds will be raised.
