Namibia, on Sunday, joined the international community in celebrating the International Day of Multilateralism and Diplomacy for Peace. Enacted three years ago through the United Nations General Assembly, the day seeks to affirm the primacy of the United Nations Charter and its principles of resolving disputes among nations through diplomatic means. In a statement the Ministry of International Relations and Cooperation said that “Namibia stresses that multilateralism and diplomacy are at the core of a just and fair global society while preserving the right to self-determination and sovereign equality of all nations big and small”.
