The International Council for Game and Wildlife Conservation says it supports Namibia’s proposal to the Convention on International Trade on Endangered Species to allow international trade in live animals for in-situ conservation and trophy hunting. The Namibian newspaper reports that in its proposal, Namibia argues that hunting for trophies is recognised as a valuable management tool that provides much-needed revenue for rhino conservation
