Namibia will be host to the €23 million Africa Millimeter Telescope, which is co-led by two teams at the Radboud University Nijmegen and the University of Namibia. The project will see the construction of a 15-meter single-dish radio telescope on the Gamsberg mountain in Namibia, which will be incorporated in to the global network of telescopes known as the Event Horizon Telescope which is used to conduct ground-breaking research on black holes.
