Answering a call by the Chief Medical Superintendent at Windhoek Central Hospital, David Uirab for assistance in tackling the hospital’s infrastructure maintenance, NamPower on Wednesday handed over 13 100 energy-efficient lightbulbs, worth N$ 297 000 to the Ministry of Health and Social Services. Accepting the donation, the Deputy Minister said the donation should be regarded as a very good example to be followed by other partners and stakeholders, explaining that one of the objectives in the Ministry’s strategic plan was to accelerate health infrastructure development through renovations of existing facilities and construction of new ones, but that this objective can only be realised through collaboration with various local stakeholders.
