NamWater has previously been supplying the Langer Heinrich Uranium mine with bulk water, but the mine has been on “care and maintenance” since 2018. NamWater and LHU have since negotiated various agreements, which would facilitate this return to operations. According to the central bank, the uranium mining sector is expected to contract by 3.4% in 2022 before expanding by 7% in 2023. This morning NamWater and Langer Heinrich Uranium signed the resupply agreement of water.
