Veteran Swapo Party politician and former Cabinet minister, Immanuel Ngatjizeko has died, aged 69. Ngatjizeko was a Member of Parliament from the year 2000, and served in various positions including Deputy Minister of Mines and Energy, and Minister of Trade and Industry, Labour and Social Welfare, Safety and Security, and Trade and SME Development. He also served as one time director of the National Planning Commission and, following a Cabinet reshuffle in February 2018, became Minister of Presidential Affairs, but quickly resigned and retired due to ill health.
