The Namibia Tourism Board has embarked on a project to position the country as a travel destination for the West African region as part of its efforts to promote Namibia as a holiday destination for tourists amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. The Namibia press agency reports that the tour, which includes two Nigerian celebrities, Yemi Alade and Chef Stone, is aimed at educating and positioning Namibia to the West African region as an authentic and pristine travel destination, as well as to showcase the country’s great success in the travel and tourism industry and its sustainability. NTB Chief Executive Officer Digu ||Naobeb, in a statement read on his behalf, said that the tour was important to promote the country and increase the numbers of tourists from Nigeria and the West African region at large.
