The Ohangwena education directorate continues to spend N$ 320 000 per month in renting office space at the privately-owned Greywall Complex in Eenhana after the construction of its office building came to a standstill. Nampa reports that the education regional director Isak Hamatwi while addressing the media at the directorate’s consultative meeting Tuesday said the construction of the office building for the directorate, which commenced in April 2018 and expected to be completed in March, came to a standstill as the contractor failed to deliver within the given period. He indicated that the services of the construction company and consultant contracted for the regional project were therefore terminated by the Ministry of Education, Arts and Culture after only 24 per cent of the construction work was done.
