A 39-year-old woman accused of killing her nephew before burying his body at Okakwa village in the Ohangwena Region in 2018, made her first appearance in the Ohangwena Magistrate’s Court today. Nampa reports that Hilde Kalola appeared before magistrate Auguste Simon, who postponed the case to 19 May this year for further police investigations. Kalola is accused of killing 16-year-old Johannes Nghidengwa after allegedly tying him to an iron bed with rope and severely assaulting him with an electrical cord until he sustained multiple injuries and died in December 2018. She then allegedly buried his body at the village, which was dug up by the police on Friday.
