Election Watch: The special voting at Okahandja was delayed Monday morning due to the absence of local authority ballot papers as only regional council ballot papers were available at the polling station. Nampa reports that Electoral Commission of Namibia Returning Officer for Okahandja, Evengeline Murangi said they opened the polling station at 9 am, which was supposed to be the starting time as per ECN special voting rules, just to find out that the book that contains ballot papers for the local authority elections is not available, so they could not go ahead with the voting process without the book. Murangi explained the book was in Otavi and ECN officials responsible for distribution would bring it to Okahandja, but she did not know what time it would arrive in Okahandja.
