The Ongwediva Town Council, with an aim of responding to fire incidents on time, has resolved to expand its fire station with the construction of sleeping quarters for emergency personnel and a security guard house. The town’s spokesperson, Jackson Muma says the expansion is expected to be completed by end of March this year. Nampa reports that Muma elaborated that the expansion project was awarded to Building Contractor CC at a cost of N$ 1.5 million from the central government.
