The country’s political parties are currently engaged in talks and negotiation nationwide on possible co-operation and coalition formations following the recent elections. Parties will reportedly have to work together in some regions to gain control and the Popular Democratic Movement has asked its newly elected members to cooperate with other political parties in this regard. The party has said though that no agreements should be entered into with Swapo, as this is a good opportunity to unite the country’s opposition parties “against maladministration”.
