The Namibian Police Force has called on the public to assist in apprehending suspects in the recent cases of rape and murder that occurred in Windhoek’s Havana informal settlement. Nampa reports that in a media statement yesterday, NamPol said the public should come forward with information that can lead to the arrest of the suspects in the rape of a 12-year-old-girl and murder of a man who came to the aid of his sister who was also raped. NamPol said “The suspects are still unknown and still at large, no arrests were made, however, there are some leads and clues the police are working on in order to trace the suspects. The public is reminded that the reward of N.dollars 160 000 still stands for information to be provided which may lead to the positive identification, arrest and prosecution of the suspects”.
