The Executive Director in the Ministry of Labour, Industrial Relations and Employment Creation Bro-Mathew Shinguandja has urged employers in the respective regions, to first prioritise local jobseekers before looking at outsiders. The Namibia press agency reports that he said regions should create a job seekers list that will enable unemployed graduates to upload their CV, qualification, and skillset. He added that employers are also required to advertise all job vacancies and should consult its database to see who is not employed and if they have the necessary skills set for the advertised position, instead of hiring outsiders while they have qualified locals for the same position.
